Lykewake Walk Holiday Accommodation

The Lykewake Cottage is a holiday accommodation on the north York moors.
Our unique cottage is an 18th century re furbished farmhouse with a long history and connection to the Lyke wake Walk.
The farmhouse was once owned by Bill Cowley when he founded  the walk.
We had the cottage renovated 8 years ago and is now a cozy holiday rental open all year round.
Set just outside of Swainby near Northallerton north Yorkshire the cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps upto 5 people.
children are welcome.
Swainby is a lovely village on the western edges of the North York Moors National Park.
With a small stream flowing adjacent to the High Street complete with resident ducks.
The local area is a walkers paradise with direct access to the North York Moors including the Cleveland Way. The National Cycle Route 65 passes directly through Swainby.

The holiday cottage is only 6 miles from the boyhood home of Catpain James Cook the royal navy navigator and explorer. Great Ayton has many sites and points of interest about captain cook including his old school room which is now a museum.
